Busby Amateur Football Club

An excellent win against a team that had beaten us by the same scorline earlier this season. East End started the brighter and caused us a few problems with theirheight up front without creating any clear cut chances. Busby gradually got the upper hand and down the right wing we were getting a lot of space with Kyle Alexander involved in a  lot of the link play.
Alistair Brown had a good chance to open the scoring having held off his marker and turning but hit his shot over the bar. We got the breakthrough mid way through the half with Shaun Alexander having a great run down the right wing and his low cross was hit home by Dean McKirdy.  Soon after we made it 2-0 with Robbie Falconer scoring his first goal of the season with a brilliant 25 yard shot into the top corner. Rudy Kingwaya also missed a good chance to rap the game up.
 
Just as we were thinking of half time slack defending gifted East End a goal right on half time and we knew it would mean a  tough second half. The defence did well in the secong half limiting East End to just a few half chances. Kyle Maxwell played well as sweeper in the absence of the ill Chris Clark.Again we missed a couple of good chances in the second half and it was substitute Tony Guatella who hit a brilliant curling shot from outside the box into the corner of the net to finish the scoring.
