Scottish Cup 3rd round tie played on astrograss at Williamwood having been postponed the previous week.
In the second game of our league double header against Pollok we achieved a second win, with a more comfortable and better performance. A few changes were made this week with central midfield pairing of Robbie Falconer and Jack Gaskell coming back in and having an excellent game. We scored an early goal with a low shot drilled in to the corner by Alistair Brown for his first goal of the season. The rest of the first half was pretty even with Pollok having the advantage of the wind. Like last week Pollok weere playing for off-side and caught us out a few times.
In the first game of our league double header against Pollok we achieved anarrow win against the only league team we failed to beat last year. A few changes to the team this week both in terms of personnel and positions as we try to get the best out of the squad.
A rare no scoring draw against the top of the league Celtic side played at St Rochs junior ground.A competitive first half saw a Celtic forward sent of for two bookable offences and Celtic create the early half chances with shots that went by without Alex Dempster's having to make a save. After the sending off we put Chris Clark into midfield and had the extra player in there and had the better of the game. We did not create much though in the first half.
A disappointing result in a game that we dominated in the first half. We scored after 15 minutes against the run of play when Rudy Kingwaya played a short pass to Jack Gaskell at the edge of the penalty box and he took one touch before curling into the corner of the net. After that we had several good chances to extend the lead but shots either off target or
An excellent win in the 2nd round of the Scottish cup and one that was well deserved.Broomhill had some good players and in the first 20 mins they looked morelively with some nice moves without creating any clear cut chances. As the half progressed we started to dominate and looked more likely to score andBlair Johnson had a good chance but shot over the bar. Dean McKirdy, just
A disappointing first defeat of the season.First half started well and Kyle Maxwell scored giving us a 1-0 lead at half time. Unfortunately Blair Johnson and Robbie Falconer had to come off in the first half and it was felt that this impacted on how we were playing. In the second half Clark Drive scored 3 goals in quick succession. We pulled a goal back when Alex Dempster's long kick out was mis-controlled by their GK who ended up putting it in the net. However, frustrations grew as we could not get the equalising goal.
A great result in the 1st round of the Scottish Cup although it took us
until mid way through the second half to get the breakthrough.
A tight first half with Busby on top but creating very few clear cut
chances. The play was a little scrappy and Alan Bruce asked everyone to up
their game at half time.
The second half was all Busby with Haldane hardly getting into our half. We
were however finding it hard to get behind their defence and get clear
shots on goal.
A second consecutive 4-4 draw in the league against a good Torrance teamthat beat us twice at the end of last season.
The Busby team started the game with 6 first team players missing from the finishing team of last year and unfortunately they have not brought in any replacements. This looks like this is going to be a big problem for the coming season .Eastwood were runners up last season so this was always going to be a tough fixture.
